Sunday June 3rd 2012 Noon - 2pm St Margaret's Village. The St Margaret's of Scotland CWL Annual Lobster Dinner is as old as the Community itself, sponsored by St. Margaret's of Scotland CWL, one can come out and enjoy fresh local lobster, dessert, tea and coffee.

John Cabot Landing Celebrations

Saturday-Sunday June 23 to 24, 2011. Cape North- Sugar Loaf-Bay St Lawrence. Experience the first landing place of John Cabot, 1497, in his search for the New World. We celebrate his landing annually in June. The day includes a re-enactment of John Cabot Landing, highland games, and fun day for children with games from yesteryear, BBQ and entertainment.

Bay St Lawrence Fire Departments 21st Annual Crab Fest and Fishing Derby

Sunday July 15th, 2012. Fishing Derby 8am-2pm Crab Dinner Noon-4pm One of the longest running Crab Festivals on Cape Breton Island. One can spend the day enjoying the water participating in the fishing derby. The local fishermen ensure all locals and visitors get to go out in a boat to do some fishing in hopes if winning the big prize. All children participating in the derby win a prize. Follow that up with what is known as the best crab dinner on the Island. Enjoy our scenery, and local hospitality. Mark this on your calendar it is a must be there community celebration.
