Restaurants at the Top of the Island come in a mix of formats, from well appointed facilities featuring fine, gourmet dining to independent “takeouts” offering a quick bite for lunch. Whether one’s taste leans towards seafood, pasta, pizza or beef, the restaurants at the Top of the Island can fill the bill. That being said, however, when an area is virutally surrounded by water and boasts a thriving fishing industry, the seafood HAS to be excellent, and such is the case here. Whether it’s lobster or crab, mussels or haddock, chowder or sole, oysters or salmon, the Top of the Island area restaurants not only serve it, but in almost all cases purchase it directly from the fishermen who catch it. And you can’t get much fresher than that!
